On the Kerala Culinary Short Tour get a chance to learn the culinary art of south Indian dishes and at the same time explore Cochin and its local market. Also visit to the local fish and spice market of Cochin. Moving further with the tour enjoy the scenic drive through the lush green countryside of Periyar. Attend cooking demonstrations to make the seafood in a resort in Periyar by the experts. Enjoy the boat safari at Periyar.
On reaching Cochin you will be received by our representative who'll escort you to the hotel for check-in. In the evening go on a boat cruise of the Cochin Harbor. The Harbor extends across two islands in the Lake of Kochi. The harbor was almost naturally formed after the great floods in Periyar in the 14th century.
In the morning after breakfast, head towards the local fish and spice market of Cochin where you shall learn how to check the fish for the freshness. In the afternoon enjoy the Indian and Kerala cuisine. After lunch, experience a hands-on cooking demonstration of seafood preparation in Malayali cuisine.
After breakfast, head towards Periyar. On reaching Periyar get accommodated at a pre-booked resort. Rest and relax for a while in the resort. In the evening visit Periyar lake to enjoy the boat safari ride. In the late evening return to the resort to attend another cooking demonstration using fresh spices by culinary experts. Relax in the resort for the night.
In the morning after breakfast, you will be accompanied by the hotel staff in the kitchen area of the resort where you will be introduced to the regional spices used in Kerala. In the afternoon, the chef gives you hands-on lessons in cooking using fresh spices. Using fresh spices can be really tricky but under the watchful eyes of our expert chefs, we are sure you will develop the knack of using them in correct measures.
On day 5, head to the airport/railway station for the onward journey.
