Overview

Uttarakhand, a state in northern India crossed by the Himalayas, is known for its Hindu pilgrimage sites. Rishikesh, a major centre for yoga study, was made famous by the Beatles’ 1968 visit. The city hosts the evening Ganga Aarti, a spiritual gathering on the sacred Ganges River. The state’s forested Jim Corbett National Park shelters Bengal tigers and other native wildlife.

    Day 1 : Arrive Delhi * On To Mussoorie (296 Kms / Approx. 8 Hour Drive)

    Pickup from the place of stay and. Drive to the picturesque town of Mussoorie, spread along a horseshoe-shaped ridge overlooking the Doon Valley. On arrival, check into your hotel.

    The rest of the evening is at leisure to explore the beautiful Mussoorie hill station on your own.

    Day 2 : Mussoorie
    Morning, proceed for a half-day sightseeing tour of Mussoorie visiting the Kempty Falls and the Gun Hill Point. Kempty Falls is popular among the tourists who visit Mussoorie and this cascading waterfall has successfully lured tourists from the very beginning. Kempty Falls is located approximately 15kms from Mussoorie on the Chakrata road surrounded by high green mountains and is set at an altitude of 4500ft. Gun Hill is situated 400mts above The Mall and it is the second highest peak of Mussoorie. The rest of day is at leisure. You can enjoy the cable car ride from the Mall road to the Gun Hill point on direct payment basis. Overnight in Mussoorie (B)
    Day 3 : Mussoorie

    Today, proceed for an excursion to the scenic spot of Dhanaulti and the Mossey Falls - a beautiful fall that is surrounded by dense forests. The rest of the day is at leisure.

    Day 4 : On To Haridwar Via Rishikesh (100 Kms / Approx. 3 Hour Drive)
    This morning, drive to Haridwar route stopping at Rishikesh to visit the TriveniGhat, Laxman Jhula and the various temples in Rishikesh. In the afternoon, continue with your journey towards Haridwar which is less than an hour away from Rishikesh. In the evening, participate in the 'Traditional Ganga Aarti' at Har-Ki-Pauri. On arrival, check into your hotel. Overnight in Haridwar.
    Day 5 : On To Corbett (200 Kms / Approx. 5 Hour Drive)

    This morning, proceed for sightseeing tour of Haridwar covering the Mansa Devi Temple, Daksha Mahadev Mandir and. In the afternoon drive to Corbett, the last leg of your itinerary.

    On arrival, check into your hotel. The rest of the evening is at leisure.

    Day 6 : Corbett
    The day is at leisure. You can enjoy a jungle safari at Corbett National Park (on your own). The main wildlife animals found in the Corbett National Park include the tiger, elephant, chital, sambar, nilgai, gharial, King Cobra, muntjac, wild boar, hedgehog, common musk shrew, flying fox, Indian Pangolin, and nearly 600 species of birds. The park is a natural habitat of the rare species of Tigers that are facing extinction. It is a heaven for bird watchers, wild life enthusiasts, environmentalists and nature lovers. Note : Corbett National Park remains open throughout the year for the visitors from Jhirna zone but the best time to visit Corbett is from 15th November to 15th June. Overnight in Corbett.
    Day 7 : Depart Corbett * On To Delhi (270 Kms / Approx. 7 Hour Drive)

    Today, bid farewell to your 'Heritage of Uttarakhand' tour as you get transferred to the airport / railway station in Delhi for your onward journey.
