Morning sightseeing tour of city visiting Mysore Palace, Bull Temple, Art Gallery. Afternoon visit Somnathpur Temple located at 38 kms from Mysore, this temple build in 1258 is one of the best example of Hoysala architecture. Overnight at hotel.
Morning drive to Hassan. Afternoon visit Belur&Halebid Temples a guided tour of Belur and Helebid Temples. The temples of Belur and Halebid are best known for their south Indian architecture. The temples are carved with scripts of Hindu mythology. The 12th century temple at Belur has many figures known as Madanikas or dancers. It has many pillars of different designs. Later the capital was shifted to Dwarasamudram (Halebid).Both these temples have carving of Puranas, the Upanishads and other mythological characters from the Ramayana and the Mahabharata. Morning drive to Bangalore enroute visiting Sravanbelgola. The Gommateshwara Bahubali a 57-foot (17 m) high monolithic statue at Shravanabelagola is one of the most important tirthas (pilgrimage destinations) in Jainism.
